La Goulue
When presented with the almost insurmountable task of re-creating the world renowned La Goulue a few blocks south, the Parkbench Architects team was more than up to the challenge. With half the original existing millwork panels stored in upstate New York for years, the puzzle began when it came time to reinstall them in an entirely new Upper East Side location. From the stained-glass skylight in the dining room to the new state of the art kitchen downstairs, this is one of Parkbench Architect’s most complex and detail-oriented projects. It was truly a humbling and extraordinary experience to have been the architecture team to help open the doors again to this iconic staple.
