Australians love coffee, and Abbotsford Road brings some of that Aussie love to our very own Gowanus, Brooklyn. Parkbench Architects was so excited to be presented with the task of designing the flagship location for this Australian coffee brand. By introducing the coffee bar, table seating, and tasting area in the front of the space, the business end- and by that we mean the roaster- can be put in the back for ease of venting and allowing for ample production space around the roaster. Abbotsford Road brings a much needed community-centric space to the otherwise manufacturing-heavy neighborhood.
